La Buse Extrait: The Buccaneer’s Ransom

Deep within the shifting sands of the Indian Ocean lies the legendary "Cryptogram" of Olivier Levasseur, the notorious pirate known as La Buse (The Buzzard). Before his final walk to the gallows, he tossed a parchment into the crowd, challenging the world: "Find my treasure, he who may!" Xarmony’s La Buse Extrait is the olfactory answer to that challenge—a dizzying, intoxicating haul of stolen luxury, aged spirits, and high-seas adventure.

The Cargo: A Ship’s Hold of Indulgence

This fragrance is a masterpiece of "more is more," reflecting the chaotic, opulent lifestyle of the Golden Age of Piracy. It opens with a decadent, sun-drenched Pina Colada and a tidal wave of dark fruits—Grape, Black Currant, and Plum. It is the scent of a pirate king’s feast on a tropical shore, where fresh Orange and Berry juices mingle with the air of the Caribbean.

“It is the smell of a legend that refuses to be buried—a fragrance for the bold who seek the treasure at the end of the map.”

The Spirit of the Buzzard: Boozy & Bold

At its core, La Buse is a masterclass in spirit-driven perfumery. It captures the very "soul" of a pirate's cellar, blending top-shelf libations into a rich, intoxicating haze.

The transition from the Cherry and Brandy top notes into the deep, animalic Leather and Tobacco heart evokes the rugged interior of a captain’s cabin. The inclusion of Laurel Leaf and Rose adds a surprisingly noble, green edge—a nod to the French heritage of Levasseur himself.

The Treasure Map in a Bottle

As the fragrance settles, it transforms into a syrupy, resinous glow. The Honey and Caramel melt into the Oakmoss and Cedar, creating a "sunken forest" effect. It feels like aged wood that has soaked in decades of spirits and spice. The White Musk and Jasmine provide a ghostly, ethereal trail, shimmering like the white sands of Réunion Island where the Buzzard’s treasure is said to still be hidden.

The Verdict: A Riot of Riches

La Buse Extrait is an unapologetic powerhouse. It is for the rebel, the risk-taker, and the connoisseur of the "drunken air of fancy." With its incredible complexity and vast array of notes, it mimics the overwhelming feeling of stumbling upon a chest overflowing with gold, jewels, and the finest spirits the world has ever known.
